About Me

My journey in education has been driven by a desire to make a real difference for learners. I’ve been privileged to work across a variety of roles, each contributing to my deep understanding of the further education and skills sector.

As a senior leader at one of the largest FE College groups in the UK, I developed a strong foundation in strategic leadership, curriculum design, and quality enhancement. This involved business planning, financial management and leading curriculum delivery across multiple campuses. I gained valuable experience in redesigning curriculum and the workforce to meet the evolving needs of learners and stakeholders.

Moving into a Vice Principal role at one of the leading FE Colleges in the West Midlands allowed me to further develop my expertise in leading and managing complex educational organisations through periods of significant change. I’ve had overall responsibility for curriculum and quality functions, with line management responsibility for a large number of staff. I confidently lead Self-Assessment (SAR), Quality Improvement (QIP) and the implementation of quality improvement strategies. I have also played a key role in representing the college to external stakeholders.

My experience includes leading across all provision types, including education programmes for young people, adult learning programmes, apprenticeships, and high needs provision. I have a proven ability to develop and implement innovative curriculum models that foster student engagement and achievement.   

Alongside my leadership roles, I am also a qualified Ofsted inspector. This gives me a unique insight into the inspection process and a deep understanding of quality assurance and improvement.  

I believe in a collaborative and practical approach. I work closely with colleges and ILPs to understand their specific context and challenges, and I tailor my support to meet their individual needs. My focus is on delivering sustainable improvement and empowering colleges and ILPs to build a culture of excellence.
